He obtained his degree and Ph. D. in Social Sciences and Media Studies from the Basque Country University. He is the author of the first doctoral dissertation on Food journalism in Spain for which he was unanimously awarded an outstanding cum laude. This academic study opens a new line of research that includes, among other matters, subjects like the history of food journalism in Spain and language analysis of the food journalistic style.
He is a collaborator of the SUR (Vocento group) newspaper and the Excelente magazine with articles of opinion, reviews, summaries and features on food and gastronomy.
